Brilliant, Thanks for the thread Martin. Exactly what I needed. According to Duncan Murdoch, its an RStudio bug (https://stat.ethz.ch/pipermail/r-help/2016-March/437415.html). This fix worked from the same thread fixed the issue https://stat.ethz.ch/pipermail/r-help/2016-March/437397.html
