Will bind run on VMware?
Yes, if the guest operating system supports it.
Of more interest to me is: are there limitations?
Types of configs or workloads that should
not be run under VMware?

P.S. Aps are sometimes distributed bundled with an OS,
i.e., forming a package that does run directly under VMware.
AFAIK ISC does not offer such a bundle for BIND.
Aps could be written to include OS function so as to
require no such bundling--I read about an ap that was
seemingly like that, but likely it was just bundled
with a Linux kernel. AFAIK ISC does not distribute
BIND in such a form.
