It shouldn't. The NS in nslookup stands for NAMESERVER. Nslookup is a diagnostic tool for the DNS and corrupting it to lookin /etc/hosts, NIS, YP, LDAP is just wrong. > Nslookup is "deprecated" meaning you should use host where possible.
