This is to say the limitation is the 32 bit not the Solaris.  You have
the same limit in HP-UX 32 bit, Linux 32 bit etc...

Yes, a 32bit process can only access up-to 4gb of memory.

$ echo 2^32 / 1024 / 1024 / 1024 | bc -l
4.00000000000000000000


I believe BIND has some options (named.conf) to control the amount of 
memory it uses.  Have a look at the ARM
