Hello all,

Thank you to everyone who responded to my call to borrow some used cycling
clothing for 4000 Miles <http://www.overture.org/events/4000-miles>, the
upcoming play in Overture Center about a x-country cyclist.

Thanks to your help, we now have everything except one item: a used pair of
size 13/48 clip-in cycling shoes.

Anyone have a pair we could borrow till Thanksgiving?

Thanks in advance!

Couple notes about the play:

1) I encourage you to see it! Here's a plot summary and ticket order page:
http://www.overture.org/events/4000-miles

2) Want to join a night ride & happy hour before seeing the show? On Wed
11/9 we roll at 5pm from Fitchburg Cycles to Coopers Tavern for a drink &
appetizers, then see the show.
Discount happy hour package:

Cheers,
Peter

I came across this article about the "Dutch Reach"
http://99percentinvisible.org/article/dutch-reach-clever-workaround-keep-cyclists-getting-doored/

which is an approach to keep car drivers from "dooring" cyclists.
Obviously it only helps if the driver makes the effort. I doubt it
will ever take hold in the US. But interesting nonetheless.

I saw this article on a site called "Hacker News", and it already had
over 400 comments! Nothing gets a discussion going like a bunch of
nerds doing the bike-vs-car argument.

In particular, I think fully 1/3 of the comments are about the
effectiveness of helmets, even thought the article is not about
helmets. I did *not* mention this because I want to get into argument
about helmets!

I just find it interesting that these issues generate so much discussion.
