Hi, There were still quite a few fixes that were committed today to the 2.90 branch. Each commit has the potential of introduced new bugs, so the release is NOT happening on Wednesday (26/Aug).
There is no established rule (yet?) as to how long should pass after a commit before we are comfortable releasing it. But for now let's keep testing 2.90, and aim at a stable release soon. To follow the discussions on when 2.90 will considered release ready keep an eye on #blender-coders on https://blender.chat - I won't send a reply here every time we move the date forward. But as usual there will be an official announcement here once 2.90 is released.
