Hi folks,

We have sent a new version of draft-xie-bess-evpn-extension-evn6, in which the
following revisions have been made,

1) The term of “MMD”is removed from the whole document.

2) "Host ID" is added to Type 13 route, and the related process in section 6.2
is revised as well. Note:Host ID is an 20-bits identifier that indicates the
membership of each host within the site it belongs to, the Host ID of each host
is allocated from the Host ID Pool based on the host's MAC address
whileensuring its local uniqueness (draft-xls-intarea-evn6-03).

3) The following sentence is added at step 10 of section 6.3:

“The process of transmitting Ethernet frames is described in section
4.2 of [I-D.xls-intarea-evn6]”

4) Some editorial changes.

We are looking forward to receiving your comments and suggestions.

Best regards

Abstract:

EVN6 is a mechanism designed to carry Ethernet virtual networks,
providing Ethernet connectivity to customer sites dispersed on public
IPv6 networks. At the data layer, EVN6 directly places the Ethernet
frames in the payload of IPv6 packet, and dynamically generates the
IPv6 addresses of the IPv6 header using host MAC addresses and other
information, then sends them into IPv6 network for transmission.
This document proposes extensions to EVPN for EVN6, including two new
   route types and related procedures.
