Hello,

In RFC 8214 at the end of section 3 it states:

“If a network uses entropy labels per
[RFC6790<https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc6790>], then the C Flag

MUST NOT be set, and the control word MUST NOT be used when sending

   EVPN-encapsulated packets over a P2P LSP”

Furthermore, in the draft-ietf-bess-rfc7432bis-07 at the end of section 18 it
states:

“If a network uses entropy labels per [RFC6790], then the control word SHOULD
NOT be used”

Please could someone explain why the use of Entropy Labels per RFC6790 requires
that the Control word not be used.
There is no such restriction when a Flow-aware label is present.

Thank you kindly.

Best Regards,
