Or just an unrealistic set of expectations. He is asking how to write simple scripts to replace significant (and expensive) applications. We sell systems that could solve two of his problems. Who knows, in this economic environment, those may be tasks assigned by a manager with a desire to reduce expenses, but very little understanding of computers. It is an interesting list.
