I hope you've already tried the simple technique described in the
message footer. If that didn't work, maybe you're not sending mail
from the same email address that you used to subscribe. Could you have
originally joined from your "old" address, which still forwards mail
to your "new" address, for example? It's the old one you need; nobody
can unsubscribe you knowing only your new one.

If you still can't find (or remember) the address, use your email
program to view the full header section on a message from the list;
somewhere in the header lines you should be able to find what address
the list is using to reach you.

Once you know the address that the list uses to reach you (let's say
it's [EMAIL PROTECTED]), simply send mail to this magical address:

   beginners-unsub
   scribe
   -fred
   =example.com
   @perl.org

... which is to say, to the email address you get by putting those
pieces together, after you fix them up for the real address. Be sure
to include all the punctuation in the right places.
