Instead to of starting directly with Camel Book(Learning Perl) I would suggest to see the perldoc first and then move to book as perldoc gives more understanding in simple way (learning perl is nothing but just the rearrnaged form of perldoc)
How to access perldoc Type perldoc from your linux/unix prompt OR For windows go to start programme and section of perl for perldocumentation.
