Ok, I will sound like an idiot and at the moment, I feel like... Previously I was able to install and use the Win32:SerialPort module in my script on a WinXP PC.
My requirement is now to run script on a Windows 2000 Workstation, so I downloaded and installed Perl 5 and the said module using "ppm.bat install Win32-API) (no errors) and ran my script. Now I am getting this error message: C:\temp>perl serial1.pl Can't locate Win32API/CommPort.pm in @INC (@INC contains: C:/Perl/site/lib C:/Perl/lib .) at C:/Perl/site/lib/Win32/SerialPort.pm line 4. BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at C:/Perl/site/lib/Win32/SerialPort.pm line 4 . Compilation failed in require at serial1.pl line 11. BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at serial1.pl line 11. I manually copied the supposedly missing module to the paths indicated in the @INC location but still cannot get the script to run. Can anyone please advise me. TIA.
