snip I think there is some confusion here. You cannot be running %ACTIVESTATEPERL%\bin\perl.exe from the "cygwin environment" as %ACTIVESTATEPERL% has no meaning to BASH (you would have to say $%ACTIVESTATEPERL). It would have meaning to the Windows command line program (cmd.exe).
