Hi, I'd like to download a file using HTTP, however instead of getting the result as an in-memory string, or saved to a file, I'd like to be able to access the content like it was a file (this is because the content downloaded is being written directly to another program as it is downloaded). I had a look through the LWP:: and WWW:: stuff, but couldn't find anything appropriate. Is there a way of doing this without resorting to direct socket access myself?
