What I am looking for is a way to force a new line at a certain place, pretty much like '<br>' in HTML, but independent of the context and the output format. Using verbatim paragraphs would mean doing without any formatting.
Actually, I was trying to ask, what are you hoping the newline will accomplish? I didn't buy the electric drill because I wanted to own a drill; I bought the drill because I wanted some of my other posessions to have new holes. That is to say, I know that you want a newline; I don't know what you're trying to get from forcing some line breaks in your document. If we knew your goal, I or others on the list might have other ideas as to how you could represent your information.
I'm afraid, the E<10> is about close as it gets...
That's why it's Plain-Ol'-Documentation, and not, say, PostScript. Cheers! --Tom Phoenix Stonehenge Perl Training -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] <http://learn.perl.org/> <http://learn.perl.org/first-response>
