If the machine understands the telnet: protocol, you can use clickable
telnet: URLs. If it understands another protocol, you can use another
kind of URLs. If it doesn't support a protocol to open a remote
desktop, then there is not a URL that will open a remote desktop.

Perhaps you can have the user configure their machine to support a
protocol to open a remote desktop. But you may need to ask the user to
run the remote desktop program directly.

This isn't really a Perl issue, so you may be able to find better
information in another discussion area. For example, maybe you could
find someone who frequently works with remote desktops who would have
other ideas to help you.
