I am sure it is in perl. I am working on a linux - there is no proper
extension for that program for example one program name alscr.p another one
is test1.cgi - If u would likt have a closer look - I can send u a file -

I'm guessing it wasn't written in Perl, then.  There is, as far as I'm
aware, no way to compile a true persistent binary executable file
directly from Perl.  I tend to assume you're running this thing on a
Windows machine, considering your reference to .exe file extensions --
that being the case, perhaps you should check your system's file
extension associations and see what program is automatically executed to
run the script/program/whatever when you try to run it.  That might give
you some clues.
