Hi Hridyesh,

Well seems like my mail was offensive! My apologies if you felt that way.

If you count the number of mails that come from this news group you'll
realize that many people would be first browsing through the subject line
and if they have any knowledge of the area mentioned in the subject they
will go ahead and read the queries and try to solve the problem / help.

See the link
http://learn.perl.org/beginners-faq#2%20%20questions%20about%20the%20'beginn
ers'%20list.

It also tells you why you need to have meaningful subject: -----------------
Have meaningful Subjects. Subject lines like ``Help!'', and ``This isn't
working!'' may be skipped by many people, and you may not get all the great
help you want. Try to make your subject lines meaningful. For example,
``sprintf() trouble'', or ``Confused about formats''.
-----------------
I myself am not a perl expert, and but I have taken help from the list quite
often and it really helps if your subject and mail describes exactly what
you are trying to do, what approach you have taken to tackle it, and what
problems you are facing in your solution.
So, my reply was just a suggestion from someone who is also in the learning
stage in Perl programming and nothing more!

How you take it depends on you!

Hi Hridayesh,

First of all, give a meaningful subject!
We can pass a value from one perl program to another, the simplest case
being, a.pl returns a value which is accepted by b.pl as a command line
argument! But, you need to describe exactly what u want to do! And what
you
have tried till now. Then only one can help!
