because A> this isn't usenet -- it's nntp.perl.org -- a separate newsgroup-style
mirror of the perl.org mailing lists.
and B> Most of the groups/lists on perl.org require the moderator of the list to
add you before your posts will begin to appear. (or something of that nature) if
you're using the news style interface to the lists, instead of the usual e-mail
method. :)
(anyone else is free to correct me if I'm wrong :)
