Maybe I'm being stupid, but if you've already found what you want to remove from the hosts file, why not just delete it with an ordinary text editor ? You could write a Perl script to do this, sure, but why ? Perl is a great tool, but it isn't always the right tool to use. -- Chris Devers QÇ´
