import data to Excel Template

Hi All,
 
I have been reading Spreadsheet::ParseExcel and I see how to get information
from an Excel file.... but I don't see how to import data.  
 
I have an Excel template which uses macros and I want to import a tab
delimited file.  Can someone pls suggest which module\s to use...
 
I will be running this on a XP box.
