Did you get MySQL from sunfreeware.com or build MySQL yourself? if you built it yourself - research: crle /etc/ld.so.conf /var/ld Also, making sure MySQL is properly set-up, look at LD_LIBRARY Path. HOWEVER -- if you got it from sunfreeware.com -- You need to install the mysql source packages as well -- then start all your stuff over using peoplemysql program and the steps outlined above.
