I use both of them on my XP laptop --- I use Cygwin more then ActiveState. However, please know that some low level networking related modules will not work (most won't even install) on Cygwin. ActiveState may in the long run cost more, but it has better module support -- for what modules officially work. One version of Perl is designed for Unix but "ported" internals to work under Windows -- the other (AS Perl) was designed to run on Windows. -- WC -Sx- Jones http://youve-reached-the.endoftheinternet.org/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] <http://learn.perl.org/> <http://learn.perl.org/first-response>
