Several people responded individually with comments like this. If the authors care, shouldn't they contact the ISP? I mean, I can't police the internet single-handedly. And I think O'Reilly has probably already made enough take on this particular snippet...
Online versions of many books do appear from time to time on various sites. They generally move around. I've found this out by stumbling across them during google searches, and then going back to that link a day or two later and finding it gone.
Anyway, it is illegal. It is obviously so. You don't have to police the internet. You only have to police your own behaviour.
