I am a beginner here with learning perl. I have downloaded a perl program that also came with apache and the installer to install t hem. But when I try and run the hello world program in dos it dose not work. I am getting an error that it could not be found.
anyone have any idea what I could have done wrong? ********************************** Hi Charlie... Let me emphasize that you should post both your code and the exact error message here-- it's much easier to help you that way! That said, I've noticed an issue on my Win32 boxes such that if I have an Apache installation already in place, the default ActiveState Perl installation fails to complete properly, but reports no error messages. I solve this problem by telling ActiveState to install Perl in a non-standard directory, and everything works out great. Could an Apache/ActiveState conflict be your problem? -Chris -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] <http://learn.perl.org/> <http://learn.perl.org/first-response>
