Ok,
Are you using the latest version of gcc ?
If not install one on /usr/local/bin/gcc
Since /usr/local became your favour dir ;)

Oh, look at gcc bugzilla:
http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=884

this seems to be a known gcc bug and apparently has been pacthed.
