Is there a book or url who discusses any how-to's and eventually some pro's and con's. Starting with some of the book's always mentioned in question's like this, having programmed a lot already in different language, i just scanned the books for what i missed to know about perl. Up till today i wrote a nice little bunch of few-liner's in perl which do what i want them to do. But none of them work with use strict. Nor do I understand what the strict messages tell me.
