Now if find2perl were just extended to actually handle the FTP->ls call
or lstat worked over FTP, and to build dates based on filenames rather
than modification times, then that would work great. But since that
isn't likely to happen anytime soon, I will stick with my method...

That doesn't even include the learning potential that was lost in the
solution...
