Hi Marish, You haven't said which platform it's for. For unix you have two choices. If you want to do a source install try http://www.perl.org >From the home page there's a link to a download page. You want to download the current stable release which I think is 5.8.1. If you need help installing, then help here. Most Linux distributions come with perl pre-installed, so the simplest way is to get the approptiate packages (e.g. .rpm) and install those. These are available from your distribution's web site, but may not be the latest version. For example the latest perl for RH7.3 (which I still use cos it works and is stable) is 5.6.1 If you're running windows your best bet is to download Active Perl from the Active State website. http://www.activestate.com/ -- Gary Stainburn This email does not contain private or confidential material as it may be snooped on by interested government parties for unknown and undisclosed purposes - Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act, 2000 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] <http://learn.perl.org/> <http://learn.perl.org/first-response>
