It's funny you wrote this today at this time, as I had just completed my
installation of MS Services for Unix 3.0 on a Windows 2000 machine to
run a few perl and shell scripts.  I'm amazed that everything seems to
work ok.

The SFU has a Korn and C Shell windows that you can run just about all
your Unix untils in along with the standard Windows command line.

SFU has NFS services that you can install and mount your Unix machines.

Not sure about running GUI apps, but give it a try.
