I think this touches on an issue that people should consider when they post to this list. Often people ask a question, and instead of asking for help with a problem, they ask "How to do x", when "x" may not even be a solution to their problem (sorry if I'm singling you out, OP).
When submitting a question to the list, try to answer these questions: What problem were you trying to solve? How did you try to solve it? What happened? What did you expect to happen?
