Thanks for the info. The psh perl shell may be great for learning perl. I'll try it. Personally, I have been using ksh, when possible and except on Linux, for my interactive shell ever since AT&T released the sources. On Linux, bash is the natural shell for me, and it's mostly a superset of ksh. For simple production scripts I use /bin/sh, except on Linux where bash is fine. I prefer perl for more complex applications and uniformity over different platforms. Php is great for dynamic web pages and MySQL interaction.
