I'm learning Perl. Currently i can create some nifty little apps that scroll across the Linux console. But they look like garbage compared with a real app. (i.e. Vi or Emacs or anything like that). Is there a way to use Perl to output aesthetically good looking apps (preferably compatible across many platforms)? I figured there might even be a widget toolkit I could use to create X Window apps and Windows apps, but what do you recommend?
