You should probably be looking on an AIX newsgroup. Print interfaces are not really part of any Internet standard. Most OSs have their own print-queue systems. Some manufacturers, such as HP, have IP-direct printing interfaces that interface with the workstations sending jobs. It sounds like what you are seeking is a network-based print queue, which is part of the overall NOS. Unless you are contemplating programming one of these intefaces, none of these are really Perl issues.
