Thank you zentara, i did as you advised. That did help my error message, 
unfortunetly, now i am getting 'error while loading shared libraries.
 libgdbm.so.3, cannot open shared file or directory no such directory,...'
 which is true, but i do have libgdbm.2.so and below why does it want 3?
anybody have ideas on a cure?
