how would i go about determining if my perl install was built with
PERL_EMERGENCY_SBRK? this option allows you to use an emergency memory pool to debug
scripts when memory consumption goes out of control.

the "perl -V" command will show what flags were used during an install, but here's my
problem. i've heard a rumor that the PERL_EMERGENCY_SBRK option is turned on by
default for all perl versions since since perl 5.003. if that's the case, then "perl
-V" would not tell me whether PERL_EMERGENCY_SBRK is on or off...
