Hello, I use Perl for DNA data mining and I'm just wondering what [non-bioperl] CPAN modules you make good use of in your work. Handling arbitrarily large/nested data structures is the main badboy here, but science-Perlers will know already the nature of the beast. I've hit a bit of a rut in my own work, and I need a good Perl solution, preferrably object/database oriented. I'll be browsing the CPAN looking for inspiration. This email is intentionally vague because I am interested in hearing the breadth of how people apply Perl to their scientific enquiry. Anything is appreciated.
