I used the same code that I've posted and right now its working fine, just like Zentara replied. Instead of looking up in the directory of /home/myaccount/uploads I moved it to /var/www/cgi-bin/uploads. But what remains a mystery to me is that I used the same code and the same path/directory in retrieveing the text/html, text/plain and it's quite fine. The code is working ok except for the images tha I am trying to retrieve, the browser seems unable to locate the file. I hope I can figure out the source of this problem. I am using RedHat 7.2 as my OS, apache as my web server and perl version is 5.6 I haven't configured my web server yet to allow CGI execution on my personal account so I am still using the default cgi-bin.
