Are you really sure that this is the way you want to do this? I'm just considering the side effects, like security for instance.. Then there's also data integrity and such.. In any case, you want to have a CGI that calls a Perl script passing an argument to same. Let's call this CGI for just that, and this Perl script for script1, for clarity.. THEN you want script1 to call _another_ Perl script (script2)? I have a feeling that the list would enjoy hearing what you really want to achieve before giving any recommendations, for multiple reasons I think....
