Hi all,

I realise that a Perl script is comiled just before it is run, and that
there is no need to pre-compile a Perl script. However, it is the only
way that I can think to be able to leave a Perl script at a customer's
site without them being able to see/change the code.

I've read the code generating section of the Camel and it clearly says
that this technology should not be used in a production environment, so
what I really need is some suggestions of how to do this, whether it is
by compiling or some other means. As long as the code can't be changed
or seen then I'll be happy.

There's a mention of Source Filters (again in the Camel page 477) which
says
"Source Filters have been used ... to compress or encrypt source
code..."

Does anyone know if it's Source filters that I want (and if so what
they are).

TIA
Nigel
