Silly question here - but could it be the case,
as with things like the sonic firewall - that one
actually needs to be doing HTTPS at the LAN side
IP address - so that one can pass the authentication
that way???? hence one needs to have taken the side
adventure into the underlying
IO::SOCKET::SSL
as is referenced in the libwww-perl-5.65 out as of may 31st, 2002 ???
