Exactly.  Maybe I should have phrased it better, but there was an email
virus just recently that worked on this principle.  It contained a link to
an infected website instead of an attachment.  You can't be infected by just
reading the message, but if the link is the point of the message, then you
are exposing the recipient to whatever is on the other side of the link.
Personally, I always try to include something in the message that identifies
me or my relationship to the recipient other than my email address.  Just
something to show that my message is not just the product of some script
kiddie sorcerer's apprentice that doesn't really understand what they are
playing with and thinks its real funny to annoy or harm other people out
there and keep people working late hours when they could be at home with
their shoes off or out trying to create some semblance of a life.  Not that
I have any strong feelings on the matter. :P
