As the flash struck one of my associates - attempting to
do any form of 'distributed networking solution' does require
that one have more than one machine...

You can set up an internal network using TCP/IP with a
simple set of ethernet switches, a router, dns server
and the like and do most of your testing without a direct
connection to the rest of the world.

Depends.... Either I have a side 'hack' off the main
webServer and play there - or I have to get off my yaks
and get the secondary webServer up on the other box, bring
up the Apache Server on this darwin box...

But as a general rule of thumb - I build the perl code
under darwin using bbedit - rdist it around to the linux
and solaris boxes and look for anomalies...
