Make sure you get the lastest version, MacPerl5.6.1 if you haven't already as it's a major update and should make for more fun. *>I can't get any scripts to run in perl because I can't define the path. It *>installed itself on the hard disk in the application folder, inside a folder *>called MacPerlŸ. I tried defining this as the path, but the scripts weren't *>interested. So I changed a couple of folder names, to make the path *>/Macintoch HD/Applications/usr/bin/MacPerl - but that didn't work either. *>I've tried all the permutations I can think of - substituting ':' for '/', *>calling it perl or MacPerl - if anyone has any ideas, I'd be really *>grateful. There isn't a beginners list for the Mac but have a look at http://lists.cpan.org/search.cgi?cat=Mac and browse the archives to see if there is a list that may interest you. Most of the Mac people are pretty friendly :) http://www.macperl.org/ http://www.macperl.com/depts/MacPerlFAQ.html volumename:folder:file is the format of the absolute path usually. You can also Select run from the MacPerl menu and run it from there. Also, if you haven't invested in BBEdit, www.barebones.com, it would be a good thing to get as it's a terrific editor and has some integration with MacPerl built into it. e. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
