Go to http://www.activestate.com and download ActivePerl. Installing it really doesn't take much.
1. Run the MSI file. 2. Keep all of the default installation options, unless you want to change the directory it installs to, in which case click on the "browse" button when you see it. 3. Click "Finish" when you get to the end of the install. You have now installed the Perl interpreter and enabled the file associations for .pl files. You can tell that it has been done because when you create Perl scripts they will have a yellow "pearl" icon. You can then create Perl scripts with any text editor. Notepad is the free text editor that comes with your computer. Note: make sure that when you save your file, you remove the .txt extension, or the file associations will not work. To do this, at the Save dialog box select the file type as "All files(*.*)". -----Original Message----- From: Rosa malliber To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 4/7/02 6:24 PM Subject: How to install Perl At Win 2000 Halo all, i want install perl at windows 2000, so what can i do ? some body help me, step by step installation perl at windows 2000 Please.
