I agree, I would expect a lot more from MIT's web site in general. But it could be useful and easy to send links to easy questions. Their technology magazine is pretty good though, http://www.technologyreview. com. Maybe this one is better, go to http://jpw3.com/search.html, enter perlre or whatever in the text box at the top, then hit tab, then M, which will show the man page. Or just go to http://man.he.net/ and do it the normal way.
