You installed Perl into c:\Program Files ? Erm ... not a good idea. While Perl itself doesn't mind some companion programs might, it's harder to call perl by hand this way, you have to quote the path when setting up things ... Basicaly ... apart from things like MS Office and other MS apps I never install anything to Program Files. c:\Soft is a much better place.
