Firstz of all thank you all who answered. Considering the responses I
got I should have included more information (I rather expected
something like: "Yes, I've used Some::PDF::Module, works great and
does all you need", which is why I asked like I did): The program will
eventually run on a Windoze machine (2k I think). It's purpose in life
is essentially a simple task: get some data, fill in the relevant
parts in a form letter of sorts, convert that document to PDF and send
that PDF via email.
So you see, it is required that the (final) output be in PDF, but of
course I could have some sort of an intermediate stage.
The main reason why I wanted to do it in perl is that I remembered
that there were modules that could deal with PDFs, so I just wanted to
ask if they were suitable.
Knowing all this, can someone recommend me a way to go?
