Yes, but it is "greater than" in a character code sense.  So "b" (ASCII 98)
is greater than "a" (ASCII 97), but "A" (ASCII 65) is less than "a".  So if
you need to compare 2 strings disregarding case you would want this:

lc($word1) gt lc($word2)
