I'm using Linux. If you are on windows, it probably has some strict
rules about fonts, like they all must be installed under the "fonts directory".
The first thing I would try is to add 'Generic.ttf' to the windows fonts with
it's fontadd utility; or try using a windows font instead.  

I'm sure you are aware of the help page for the Image::Magick module?

The perldoc for it is basically non-existent.
